I always see this and I’ve been using duck duck go for a couple of years.
Pretty much every website tracks you on the internet including of course YouTube. They do this mainly to serve you ads that are related to your interests. There are many browser extensions and even browser alternatives like brave that block most of this tracking.
If that's not communist, I don't know what is? Next, they be coming to your house to arrest you for watching things that 'violate their laws'.

Yeah I know I’ve been meaning to switch but changing what you’ve been conditioned to know for how many years now is hard for me ? but for damn sure that popup did it for me.

This warning is given for various sites by DDG. Youtube has always done this, it's because their ads are targeted to you specifically based in part on your Google history.

Of course if you are logged in everything is linked to your google account watch history, if you watch without being signed in over a VPN it cannot be tracked. This has been the case for years....
