Very succinct description. As my friends were REEEEing their asses off about Pence not shredding those electoral votes, I was not shaken. I know Pence's character. This thing is already in the bag. Pence doesn't need to step in. Him stepping in is bad optics and prevents further evidence, prevents pieces of the puzzle from falling into place. Severus Snape, ally to Dumbledore, jumped in and murdered him, to the balk of every single one of Dumbledore's loyalists. Yet in the end it is revealed to have been the plan all along, a vital step toward Dumbledore's success. What a perfect fucking analogy.

Spoiler alert! Jk?I was mad at Pence, but thought he thought he was doing the right thing. Then someone else mentioned the Snape/Pence comparison & I too thought it was perfect.
