I live and work surrounded by default liberals. WaPo, NYT readers, but not raging leftists. They have all at some point in casual conversation mentioned how we just "need to get through this inauguration without any trouble". They know. The question is how well they will accept it. I pray shocking evidence, truly shocking, is revealed quickly and disseminated without restriction. Without it, I'm left trying to explain like I'm talking to a five year old what's going on.
"The people who you've trusted are actually the bad guys" "That doesn't mean you are also a bad guy" "the military are the good guys"
Anybody have more tips on how to handle this. There's no way anyone will accept going straight to qdrops and decodes.
I just had an argument with the wife last night. Talking about C19 vaccines - she said she’d get one. I brought up all the serious reactions and side effects as well as Bill Gates. She asked who I trusted more, Gates or Trump, and without hesitation I said Trump. She went off about how horrible Trump is - I wanted to tell her about what’s gonna happen, but figure she’ll have to see it herself, and then I’ll fill in any blanks and feed her hopium and redpolls till she recovers...
Tell her how many people Gates Polio vaccine has killed or paralysed (India I think).
Yep, yep. Gotta dig into Gates more. Thanks!
This sounds almost verbatim with my wife except with the critical race theory eo not vaccine.
How important do you both feel about having a wife that's on the same page with you politically?
One liberal shared that he's on the same page with his gf. For socialism and progressivism, etc.
It's never been important for our relationship. I'm slow-walking sharing my beliefs and having discussions. She is very emotional and resistant to conservatism bc of an abusive family member who is a trump diehard (for all the wrong reasons). Will be a battle, but ultimately her values will provide the pathway forward, but I can't push it.
That's unfortunate, I agree with the politics of the person I'm with, but we disagree on religion.
You'd think that with someone being an neutral "passive" atheist, it wouldn't matter. The reality is there is demoralizing behavior that comes with it.
One of the things I hear is "look at the world, there is no God!".
I think the events of these upcoming years are going to change that perception for disenfranchised Christians gone atheist. Donald's strong tenacity for the greater good has certainly made me stand stronger with Christ.
Hope it goes well for us both. I plan on avoiding touchy subjects till the show starts. Best of luck! ?
