her resignation is a minor detail though esp. under the circumstances.

it's a bit like worrying whether the murder suspect has paid his parking fines or not.

now he has paid his parking fine and collected his car from the pound we can arrest him - doh !

it only applies to civil cases, not criminal ones.

and it only applies while they are literally in "their respective Houses," meaning at the literal Capitol building, or coming or going to the Capitol building to vote.
