If true, it makes me wonder if POTUS might make use of 'Directive 51'. Among "catastrophic emergencies" listed for its use is infrastructure - which includes elections. Much of Directive 51 is classified, so who knows? The WH cancelled their press briefing this morning (called a lid) just 30 minutes before the scheduled time, which was very unusual.

"a lid" has to be the most annoying communication development of the 2020 election lifecycle. Maybe the term existed prior, but I had never heard it.
It was mostly insider media speak until Biden called one almost every day for months & it then became commonplace.
