The Constitution, A20, says term of service for current POTUS ends at NOON of January 20. I researched, it does not specify WHEN a SITTING POTUS, and who is RE-ELECTED for second term, has to take the oath and be sworn in. In other words, can Trump do so PRIOR to the NOON of Jan. 20.
Making that interesting theory of Jan. 11 kind of making sense.
Who said it has to be Roberts? Could be any official, doesn't really need to be a judge IIRC. Been done before. Not sure why so many here are so poorly informed about the Constitution and legalities.
No, any judge or official. that's the point of that Jan. 11 oath taking theory. And, yes, I agree with you, either Thomas or Alito, not sure yet about the other 3 and only time will tell if they are plants like Roberts was. Or at least not sure about Gorsuch and Kavanaugh, their recent decisions are all over the map.

An hour before, transfer the power to the Secretary of Defense.
Chief Cuck Roberts would not swear Trump back in, so that would be moot.

Interesting. I thought it had to be someone on SCOTUS. Maybe Thomas could do it as petty revenge for Biden and the Anita Hill debacle.
