A brigade of 10th Mountain is also stationed in Fort Polk, Louisiana. It was 4th BDE when I was stationed there, I think they reflagged to 3rd BDE a while back though
If units of 10th MTN were moved to a central location in the U.S., my bet is that it’d be those guys. Polk sees lots of heavy rail traffic from all over the the country at all times of the year, so the movement of equipment would probably not draw too much attention
Edit: I forgot, units at Ft. Polk (not including JRTC) are/were considered integral in power projection for the Army, usually in terms of constant deployments to the sandbox. Also, lots of experience in natural disaster relief à la helping with hurricane damage in Louisiana
Also, its on under the flag so no matter how its edited, it's his right shoulder
Maybe "central locations" is not just referring to D.C. alone?
