They swore in guardsmen as marshals for Trump's inauguration too... Just saying.

EDIT: I was incorrect, for Trump's inaugeration they DEPUTIZED in a few thousand NGs by the Metro Police Dept as Special Officers without arrest power. https://wtop.com/inauguration/2017/01/thousands-of-national-guard-members-deputized-ahead-of-inauguration/
