Has anyone been able to provide a “reasonable / normal” explanation for WTF this is happening?

I need to research this, but I’m a YUGE military / tactical / gun guy.

If there was a riot or any other event and a few hundred or thousand local LEO or NG troops or active duty soldiers were deputized, I’d prob have heard SOMETHING about it.

I’ve literally never heard of something like this; deputizing thousands upon thousands of NG as US M’s....FOR WHAT?

FOR “SECURITY”???

Gimme a break.....

What possible reason could there be to DEPUTIZE A NATIONAL GUARDSMAN as a US Marshal, JUST so that they can “provide security” for a VIRTUAL event that people are being ORDERED to stay away from?
