And I actually did this with my Christian faith right before the pandemic and I think if I hadn't suffered those 3 weeks with tons of doubt and sleepless nights and PAINFUL heartache, considering God amounts to nothing, if I hadn't sat through that pain and journaled and cried and begged for answers and stayed up reading and learning and searching, I don't think I'd have made it through the lockdowns. It gave me SO much strength.
We all need time to take a step back and ask ourselves why we believe things. It helps.
Your faith is so strong that it isn’t even faith anymore. It’s a quiet knowing. It knows all is well and life is eternal. Your post moved me. Thank you for sharing :)

If I may give you one of my favourite quotes about faith
"Doubt is to faith what weights are to muscles."
Funny thing is it came from a historical novel about the Greco-Persian Wars by a guy called Christian Cameron.
Funny how you should mention that, the author fought in the Gulf War both on sea and in the air.

Whether it involves Trump getting 4 more years is more than we can know, but I'm pretty sure Biden won't get to be your president tomorrow
