"I will always fight for you.
I will be watching.
I will be listening.
And, I will tell you that the future of this country has never been better.
I wish the new administration great luck and great success.
I think they’ll have great success.
They have the foundation to do something really spectacular.
And, again, we put it in a position like it’s never been before, despite the worst plague to hit since, I guess you’d say 1917, over a hundred years ago.
And, despite that, the things we have done are just incredible and I couldn’t have done it without you.
So just, a goodbye.
We love you.
We will be back in some form."
The best is yet to come.
I think the shock we are all feeling is disillusionment because even with all the evidence and a collective "knowing" of guilty bad actors, nobody has been arrested and nobody went to prison. Granted we can say "yet" but that is a weak pain killer.
It leaves us all with a "knowing" that we are now being led by the worst collection of criminals on the planet. Nothing that was tried stopped it. It appears to illuminate the strength, the depth, the breadth and the sustain of a criminal enterprise.
This makes us feel sad.
So we sit here holding on to the last possibility that something extraordinary will happen at noon. And God willing, it will. But right now, in this moment, I feel overwhelmingly sad. I know I am not alone.
The inmates are running the asylum.
Ever heard of showing the enemy one thing while you do something else...? Optics are playing a very important role in all this...
