They just did a test in Alabama of the loud wailing sirens

Typically they test it every month on the first wednesday of the month, so this test that just happened is not on the correct schedule.

Why are they testing the loud alarms right now?

Althought I haven't received the EBS test on my phone that other people have been reporting.

yeah, but like I said, this isn't their usual testing schedule. and the weather is clear, so theres definitely no risk of a tornado

I'm in south central Alabama and they test them here on the first Wednesday of the month.

yeah its the first wednesday of the month for all of Alabama. today is not the first wednesday of the month, and the weather is clear (has been all day, and clear all day yesterday, projected to be clear tomorrow)
