I think he's been around since before Q. And there has been a lot of visible corruption seen in the state for a long time. 911, Oklahoma City Bombing, JFK, take your pick. I started listening to X22 shortly after pizza gate, Seth Rich, and I think that's about when Q started making posts, so anyone who was already in the community started to gravitate towards Q.
He doesn't tend to make predictions just offers opinions and different scenarios - as do other platforms I visit when researching. Dave's one of the better ones IMO.
If you ever watch a game of chess, the commentators job isn't to try and predict what the moves of the top players will be. In general they will say things like, "in this position, these are the things that the player needs to watch out for", and will often show move sequences of 7 to 8 moves that most people can't see.
The idea isn't to say that "this is how I think the game is going to progress", more often it's "these are the things that the players have in mind as they play the game".
Watched Dave for years - excellent big picture take and very plausible scenarios. And a very positive guy.
Was he around before Q? What did hen talk about before Trump & Q?

Has he ever been proven to have correct predictions?
