Trumps silence is what makes me believe either A he's being blackmailed into it or B this plan is still in motion and it requires him to be quiet.

If this situations was legit he'd be raising all holy hell on Gab right now. He'd be posting 5 times an hour and half of his posts would be zingers. Instead dead silence. None of this feels right.
