The two black marines that were standing in the doorway to the balcony of the Capitol building saluted him and Jill when they came down the stairs but when he went back inside they did not. Interestingly and funnily enough when he goes back in, he says "salute the marines" by accident as the earpiece told him to do it but he mistakenly says it. There's video of this floating around.
