Mine never logged me out. First thing I checked. Kinda figured though when it came up on dark mode. If it had logged me out, the site would not look the same to me.
Exactly, and what the admins were likely worried about was if the person who retained ownership of the domain created a mirror of the site, and it would prompt you to log in, and would just assign ownership to your account to whomever the first person was who signed in with it. (Hence the part about purposely using a wrong password).
Yes I remember that. However I more remember the thing about passwords and reregistering on the site which doesn't seem to be the case currently. Still odd. And worrisome

it said if you get logged out automatically and any password allows you to log back in then it is a honeypot

Yes I remember this as well. The sudden change is baffling. I will be patient as well and see how it shakes out.
