I'm in academia myself, on the non-braindead side. And there are no patriots here (STEM).

You don't need >80m people in politics.

You need them dominating tech, so that Google & co will either completely die for being evil or become a non-issue.

Same story with the media that our children consume that heavily influences them in their adult lives, and so on.
