It looked like a badly scripted movie, they are detained, it's a show for the masses, if you've followed like you say (not saying you haven't) you should understand what is happening. Yes, I wanted it to go down at the inauguration also but it wasn't time. I still believe the hammer is going to fall but it has to be raised first so the masses understand why it's happening.

I personally believe the best ending scene would have been for Military to come in at inauguration and arrest all, but I can see why it may have to go down after. When it does happen, it needs to be for the world to see. I don't want secret military tribunals. That would mean that there was still a secret world going on separate from us. The one thing I go back to that scares me, is the farewell speech by Eisenhower, where he warns us of the military industrial complex.
