While taking a semester off between college & a deployment, I read 'The Creature from Jekyll Island' in ~2 days. I was enthralled, though after reading incessantly for hours on day 1 I had to put it down because I had a strange 'vision' of an immeasurable line of destitute people waiting in line to enter a towering desolate fortress which ran the world by their control of gold...
It shook me to the core, I was terrified, & I have not forgotten that day (it's been over a decade). I believe that it was a glimpse of what would to come pass if they were not stopped...
