They relish this shit! After all the training and weekend warrioring, they are finally able to do something for their country and they love it. Trust me, they aren't the ones complaining. It's the politicians and rabble rousers that want to stir up more dissension. When troops are deployed, they are self-sufficient and self-contained. What do you think is in their day pack? Warming layers and an extra uniform with an extra set of boots. There is a also a 7-ton truck that got deployed with the unit that has MREs (Meals Ready to Eat), tents, cots, and sub-zero sleeping bags. The NG, or any other troops, don't deploy and rely on Motel 6 and McDonald's to sustain them. They are likely supplied for 30 days without any help. Stop feeling bad for them, they are taking part in historical events that we will only be able to see from our computer. They love what they are doing. V/r, prior infantry

It’s about civility, not whether they can handle it or like it.
So really the whole reason we deploy the NG is because the situation is NOT civil. Otherwise, there would be no need.
"I joined the National Guard to serve my country. But not when it's uncomfortable or inconvenient for me."
The dems requested the NG over a threat that never materialized.
False flag fail, send these boys and girls home.
I would have KILLED to be given a garage when I did field time
Was your field time in the capital building?
That would have been awesome. No, NTC mojave desert or canadian forests or kenkucky mountains well below freezing and a half shelter. Lots of great times, all would have been better in a garage vs korea underground mountain bunkers too.
