I’m former Army. And I can affirm that top brass would not like IA as that could turn really messy really quick. And when I say top brass, I mean battalion commanders and CSMs. The Joint Chiefs are paid to look good in Class A’s but they have no direct command authority.
Well, as a vet I worked for a joint chief and they are not just there to look pretty. Your statement was wrong. I would love to have those 70 work weeks back and not have to be at their call at all hours. If you jave not been there then you do not know what role they do have. They advise the potus on military issues. Then they relay to lower command what needs to be done.
This makes sense.

Who do you think tells the battalion commanders what to do.
I don’t have to guess.
The Secretary of Defense. Which would be Chris Miller.

Just looked it up; Miller was in fact replaced as of 1/20/2021.
Does that change your opinion?
I thought he just got replaced yesterday by a xiden pick? Is miller still SECDEF?
