Yes, the whole "100 people at a time" spaceship to Mars concept brings up a lot of questions. Sure, you can cram 100 humans into a metal cylinder. That's easy. How to feed them, handle their waste by products, treat illnesses/injuries, entertain them, and most importantly, keep them from going crazy for four months? I don't doubt he'll find people that want to go. They will be "test subjects" in so many ways.
