I remember Biden used the story of FDR dying and "a reporter asking “Did you know the president?” the reporter asked. “No,” the man said. “But he knew me.”
He was trying to say that's who he would be to us.
NO JOE.
That story is Trump, never you.
This explains my feelings! Why am I so distraught over a public figure, like this whole thing is deeply personal? It’s because he’s the first president/politician/leader who “knew me”. Trump knows all of us.
Many of us feel this way. I don't think I've ever beloved a public figure like this before. Explains why they hate him so much. He came in and stole the world stage.
lol ... however, I've found myself doing this also :)
it's good advice. Or dig into a new anime/TV show/book for the next few days ...
Maybe spend some time with your family, go on a date with your significant other, put in some extra effort at work ... my Cub Scout's Pack has Pinewood Derby coming up soon and I've signed up to help (in addition to helping my cubs make their cars). Frankly, it's been a Godsend to just sit down and spend time with my kids making things; teaching them how to use tools to produce with their hands. Wonderful stuff. The days have been flying by, and I'm investing in family + the next generation. Helping out other Dads with teaching their kids the basic of Pinewood cars is really fulfilling also (growing community). Stress levels are going down, too.
I know this is a movie but I really miss POTUS
I miss him like we actually know each other. I never thought I’d feel this way. It’s so deep and sad.
