Actually Russia may not be so much our enemy remember “enemy of my enemy is my friend” they don’t want to see China take over more area, they need us as much as we may need them for balance, it will always be an issue of trust right now we can’t trust anyone but ourselves.

I agree with your take, China wants to take over Russia's Far East to exploit the resources for the Chinese people. Also, I would say we cannot trust anyone right now including ourselves......
