Is there an equivalent video downloader, as say DVR for TV, which you can leave in the background? I'd like to back up many YouTube videos, but it's rather time consuming to go through them all one-by-one, especially when some are > 1 hr long. What I'm imagining is something like you add the link, and, multiple videos download or are backed up simultaneously in the background.
The best downloader is "Internet download manager". It is cheap but if you are impoverished, you can look around the internet and find ways to crack it.
That looks more like what I want, thank you!

Right, thank you.
Yes, I've used a few like that one, but that's still tedious + time consuming. What I was thinking about was a Limewire-like program, where you have multiple on the go after setting it up. That might not be efficient for short videos, and maybe I'm overcomplicating this, but, seems it would be helpful for long videos.
time consuming?? You just put the link in and press convert. it takes under two minutes for me!
For a video here and there, yeah, that's sufficient. I plan on mass backing up videos. A tonne of videos. Many ~1 hr long. Anything I've watched or want to watch, that I think could conceivably be taken down in the coming months or year or so, aka, anything that's right-leaning.
