Chief Justice John Roberts will not preside over Donald Trump's Senate impeachment trial, which is scheduled to begin in earnest on Feb. 8.
Instead, Senate President Pro Tempore, Pat Leahy (Vt.), the most senior member of the Senate Democratic conference will preside over the trial.
A Senate source said Leahy, a former chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, is expected to preside at the trial.
A spokesman for Leahy said the decision on presiding over the trial is up to Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.)
We'll have a fair trial and then find him guilty. Same as any other trial run by Demtards.
You think that many Republicans will vote to impeach?
How many voted to confirm Biden again?
More than voted to impeach the first time.
Probably not but if enough abstain/don’t turn up as well... who knows.
