I thought Italy has a lot of Chinese works from the Belt and Road Initiative and it spread after all the worker came back from the Chinese new year.

Yep. China bought the companies, gutted them, and then imported Chinese workers and machines. But they still get to sell at the “Made in Italy” premium.

Both are true. The factories in Italy houses thousands of Chinese... It would've been impossible for it not to have spread

Exactly. The Chicoms bought up all the textile companies in northern Italy. IIRC, Milan was one of the few international cities with a regular direct flight from Wuhan.
