Okay, enlighten us about the previous time it happened, to the Italian PM specifically. What year?
2019 - and it was the same guy that’s resigning now. The one before that resigned in 2018. Italy has had more than 60 governments since WWII, this really is nothing out of the ordinary.
What is extraordinary is that it is happening in multiple countries around the world.
You're right that each resignation in isolation is nothing remarkable. It's the simultaneous resignations in multiple countries that is noteworthy.
Yeah, Italy is one of the best examples of why the popular vote is a bad plan. Viva la republica!
