It is the one avenue left, and I agree it doesn't make sense for them. It does hint that they are being maybe forced into it, because it is going to be an epic own-goal. I like to think there will be incontrovertible proof of election hacking, and also proof (declassified recordings of people talking?) of the DS being corrupt. If so it will be the best TV in decades.
