Republicans were never going to have enough votes to "de-certify" any of those states. The whole point of objecting on the 6th was to bring some of the evidence to light and hope that Pence would order the 10-day audit.

But he made it clear he would not, and after the fake Insurrection it was a lost cause to object anymore. It was over at that point - thanks to Pence
