Truly confused on this. Thought we wanted the impeachment trial to continue so President Trump can present his evidence on everything involved in the election?

Has this been scrapped or is it still on because 55-45 voted on it (55 want it to continue, 45 want it to be dropped)?

If it has been dropped, then how is this a good thing for us now?
