This does not look like some simple fiber cut, unless there's multiple happening at once which is very very odd.. fiber runs cost about 20k per mile so this borders on insane especially since these are bringing down major metropolitan cities and spanning hundreds of miles.

I felt it in boston. Was a quick blip type of deal not an actual outage. Only noticed cus i do most work through a remote desktop

It was just a squirrel chewing on the fiber optic cable.
This is still ongoing. Areas are back in red again after it seemed like the outages were clearing up. Everything went back down again.
