There could be a ton of reasons why someone is getting a bacterial infection along with their viral infection that has nothing to do with masks, most likely explanation is an opportunistic infection because your immune system is already fighting a virus. That's why he mentioned co-pathogenises.
Based on what you're saying the bacteria that gets on the mask from wearing it is the same bacteria that exists in the body. Why would it need a mask to spread then? Why do we need to exhale it on a piece of fabric before it can infect us instead of it infecting us directly.
