I won't go into a long rant about my other theories. I'll just say that if they plan to purge the bad actors they need someone to be made POTUS. If literally the entire line of succession is arrested for treason or force to resign who do you make POTUS???

The logical choice is the next most powerful elected official. That means do it in the same order(speaker then pro tem)... House minority leader(McCarthy) then Senate minority leader(McConnell). Assuming Mitch isn't arrested as well.

If the POTUS to be is safe and sound in FL the military can do whatever they like in DC without risking continuity of government. Make sense?
