LOL - I really don't think the two are tied together. I get LOTS of spam calls for my (NEW) car warranty expiring, signing up for Medicare Advantage Plans (eligible in May), or my Microsoft computer is pinging the network with errors.

Face it - they've gotten your number from somewhere and now you're targeted.
