A10s were retired some time ago... interesting... the A10 was a cold war era close air support platform designed as a tank killer.. affectionately called the "warthog"... ugly but deadly... strange..
Sorry brother... when I retired in 2014 they had it on the retired list and as a contractor I've had little interaction with the platform... great to know the Warhog is still in the game... what a magnificent weapon she was... a flying tank... thanks for the update!

Shoot shit with big gun. BRRRrrrrrrT.
The A-10 Warthog was developed to take out tanks and ground radar, but has turned into a beloved pinch-reliever. One big-ass gun.

Anybody makes the statement "When Pigs Fly"... Warthogs! One badass plane.

They TRIED to retire them. The Army and Marines raised so much hell that they left them in service.
Negative....NOT retired.
From April....has anything changed?
“ The U.S. Air Force has decided to keep the A-10 “Warthog” close air support jet in service until 2040.”
