I got super fat over the years. Had even sat in on diabetes classes while working on diet software.
Diets suck. I tried many, lots of exercises also. Intermittent fasting 16/8 has been the only thing that stuck. I can layer a "diet" over it and control my burn rate.
Healing is increased after 12 hours of fasting. It brought back satiation from eating. That was key, feeling full and not wanting any more food. No diet or exercise program ever brought that trigger back.
