I wonder if we could get Lin Wood or Sydney Powell to file a mega billion dollar lawsuit against ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, PBS, Fox, NYT, WaPo, ChicagoTrib, etc. for their failure to accurately inform the public about Joe Biden's past dealings, those of his son and business associates and family, we the people were given false and misleading information that we relied on in voting for him as President. Damages would include loss of jobs, tanking economy, loss of security by opening the border, etc. Your thoughts?

Lawfag here. You're on to something, but on a slightly different theory this would work and would make any lawyer taking it on hundreds of millions of dollars in legal fees. And it would avoid Section 230 protections as well.
Here's how it would work. It's elegant in its simplicity. Every state has a consumer protection act that protects consumers from deceptive acts and practices directed at consumers. If someone had the resources and balls to sue every media outlet in each state claiming that they have knowingly misrepresented their products and services to consumers, packaging them as well-researched facts and journalism, while they knew the products and services were really their own political agendas packaged up as the "news," then it would be a lock. Judges would award damages and attorney's fees, where the damages would be cost of subscriptions, a portion of your cable package you pay each month, etc.
Here's the kicker, it would avoid first amendment protections too because the lawsuits would not be saying they cannot publish whatever they want, it would only require that publishers must properly label their content as personal political opinion rather than news or facts.
It would cost CNN, MSNBC, Wash Post, NYT, Fox, everyone, hundreds of millions each, perhaps billions each. And it would require them to begin each story with a disclaimer like you see on cigarette packs.
I floated this theory with Trump's defamation attorneys about two years ago, they kicked it around and asked some questions but didn't pull the trigger.
Where is the intrepid plaintiff's lawyer out there who will do this??
Didn't Q say something about Class Action would be their downfall? Your take is on-point. It would compel them to label their shows as opinion and take away their ability to hide behind the term "News". It might be possible for plaintiffs to force them to change their logos from ABC News to ABC Opinion. Then all the talking heads lose the imprimatur News infers and makes it Biased BS instead, which is what it rightly is. So, can you drop a note to Lin Wood or Sydney Powell so we can get this ball rolling? MSM ratings have been falling. A big class action suit might be the spike in the heart the country has been waiting for. This could be perfect timing for such an action. Wood or Powell might be willing to get onboard. Anons would have a blast digging up examples of falsehoods packaged as news when they should be labeled as opinion. Keep me in the loop with PM.
