With all due respect to your father who seems like a very intelligent man, if voting didn't work at all we never would have gotten trump. Thank God we just all loved him enough to be their cheating scam in 2016!!

I agree! My dads theory and I agree is Trump was never supposed to win. The turnout for him was so great they underestimated how much they would have to flip.

Granted Trump was a candidate worth dragging your butt out of the house for BUT - could you imagine where we would be right now had we already completely given up on voting!? Thank goodness we all took the chance to have our vote heard.

I felt voting was pointless and never participated in politics my entire adult life until 2016.

With that being said, my vote for Trump was more of a fuck you to the establishment for shoving Hillary down our throats than anything else.
