I read somewhere he was cut out of his uniform which probably included the pads.

I agree. She’s a sheep. She didn’t believe me when I told her they were incentivizing hospitals to prescribe remdesvir. Even sent her the link from CMS and I worked for an insurance company.

Well it was posted here - a screenshot of the tweet but I believe that was fake. Apologies for the misleading info.

We do! His doctor posted a little while ago that Damar got his booster on 12/26.

Exactly! He’s a safety! He was tackling the receiver!

CMS gave 20% on top of the DRG rate if a COVID 19 diagnosis and remdesivir were both on the claim. So if a patient was in ICU and the total bill was $200,000 the hospital would get an additional $40,000 by administering remdesivir. It’s completely unethical to mandate care through use of bonuses for a particular medication. Incentives are usually based on outcomes or results. There is an entire ethical standard to appropriately measuring quality and it is not appropriate to mandate a particular medication.

Exactly! Kids where just a plate to prevent it in baseball and you get much more padding from football pads. The baseball is coming off a bat when this generally happens.

Commotio cordis has to be a “perfect” direct blunt force hit - It happens to pitchers in baseball sometimes if the pitch is returned back hard by the batter. Some pitchers especially youth leagues where chest plates to prevent it. Football pads technically are a chest plate. Thank you for sharing but I feel this is unlikely.

His seat belt was broken too. It had broken in a earlier incident that day and he kept going.

My husband was saying a guy was paralyzed in the 90s. He landed on his head.
