Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi has been detained amid reports a military coup is underway in the country.
The National League for Democracy, Myanmar's governing party, said that Suu Kyi and other senior figures from the ruling party have been detained in an early morning raid.
The move comes after days of escalating tension between the civilian government and the powerful military that stirred fears of a coup in the aftermath of an election the army says was fraudulent.
Spokesman Myo Nyunt told Reuters by phone that Suu Kyi, President Win Myint and other leaders had been 'taken' in the early hours of the morning.
'I want to tell our people not to respond rashly and I want them to act according to the law,' he said, adding he also expected to be detained.

Suu Kyi was a globalist puppet.
But she turned her back on them once she became leader. So they declared her an enemy.
This coup is likely globalist-backed. They’ve infiltrated and subverted our own military here in the US, if they can do that here, infiltrating Myanmar’s military must have been a piece of cake. The CIA and our SpecOps forces were probably instrumental in this coup.
Your account is 106 days old, enough to lose handshake status, have made no posts, but you are only just now posting the same thing 3 times in a row.
Why?
I’m a TD.W poster, first time checking out this .win. Weird how my post history doesn’t show up for you! I’ve posted a lot, especially conspiracy info.
yea why would you post that 3 times though
As far as I know the accounts only show the post history from where which .win you check it from. So if I was in patriots.win I should be able to see your history of posts there. The only thing I don't know, is if post history from TDW carried over to P.win
It's because TDW and GA are separate .wins. You won't be able to see any of your post history or upvoted/saved from the other .win, but they are "listed" in your histories as "invisible tokens".
For example, one page of upvoted post history can display a maximum of 25 posts.
If right now you upvote 10 posts here on GA and 15 posts on TDW, you will only be able to see 10 GA upvoted posts if you open up upvoted here on GA (or 15 TDW upvoted posts when viewed on TDW).
If you then upvote 25 posts on TDW, and you view the upvote history here on GA, the entire page is shown as "you haven't upvoted any posts", but go to the next page and you will see the 10 GA posts that you'd upvoted before.
It's not that they disappeared, because once you return to TDW you'll see two pages of upvoted posts, with the second page short by 10 posts.
