That, and just a simpler reason. Lincoln Project was a bunch of McCain staffers and advisors to the GOP. They got millions of dollars while their candidates lost winnable races. They are pissed at Trump because the "consultancy" gravy train came to a grinding halt after Trump won the first time in 2016.
