The Greek translation is certainly better than the English. But what was the original language - the language in which the original texts were written some 300 years after Christ's recorded crucifiction? I suspect that many translations into Greek were inaccurate.

The Greek texts in the New Testament are all primal texts. There is no recorded text from which they are translated from.
You speak of the Old Testament.
But Jesus is in the New.
