A United Nations treaty ratified in the mid-1960s, prohibits signatories from placing “nuclear weapons or other weapons of mass destruction in orbit or on celestial bodies or station them in outer space in any other manner the weaponization of space.”
So... Israel was just following the U.N. treaty by REMOVING those rods from orbit. :>) How was Israel supposed to know they might land on an Iranian nuclear facility?
I wonder if they would have to be in orbit. They would reach max acceleration just from falling much lower, and be goosed a little when launched to increase that.
