Why the need for plastic surgery if they're planning on replacing him with Harris? I don't get it.

They needed him to look younger to "win" the election. If people (millenials, GenX'ers) saw him look OLDDDD, then they wouldn't 'vote' for him and ((they)) wouldn't have been able to pull off the hoax.
