I can vouch for this as I was at the Washington monument at 10:45am and was freezing my ass off waiting for trump to be there at 11am but he did not show until a little after 12pm and talked to a little after 1pm and the people from the monument were the first to leave since we were the farthest back in the crowd and the closest heading towards the capitol it is around a 2 mile walk from where I was, I was not walking 10 mins and A guy on a bike who had a bullhorn said the capitol has been breached! I didn't think he was serious so I headed to my hotel to warm up and sit down for a minute and get my car since I already checked out and my car had to be out by 5pm. Once driving towards the capitol police had streets shutdown and cops coming from every direction. I still didn't know what was going on and with not being able to get to my reserved parking spot. I just headed home and didn't realize what was happening until I was over the Chesapeake bay bridge as phones were being jammed in DC. The thing that never made sense to me with fake news version why would trump supporters come from all over the country buy hotel rooms for up to a week, plane tickets etc and not go to see trump?
I was there too. From what I could tell, they realized that something was wrong and the schedule was off so they cut the feed to the secondary speakers to get people moving to the Capitol. I was also out by the Washington monument and couldn’t hear much when trump spoke. That’s when most people were leaving to either get food or go to the Capitol.
Yea I did see people leaving some before trump was done talking, That big American Flag going over the crowd was awesome, I got video of it as it went over me.
Similar experience, except we were in the front, but not up top the steps. It was too crowded with people taking selfies, etc. I would say we got there about 1:30 pm. No crowd control anywhere except snow plows and empty cop cars blocking vehicle traffic. Whatever went down occurred prior to our arrival, at least an hour. The guy on the bullhorn was just getting the same info as everyone else; there were a lot of rumors and a lot of assumptions occurring because they were jamming coms. For a crowd as large as that (1.5M to 3M; I've heard different counts) and with no crowd control, everyone was being polite and friendly. If that were the left with a few hundred people, they would have tried to seriously damage property. I know, they destroyed sections of my neighborhood in Chicago. There is much more I've extrapolated from other's experiences of the day's events. I think I know why Trump delayed his speech by an hour and subsequently why the media couldn't figure out their official story of the staged event until two hours later. This was a sting op.
