It's happened to some people, there was a Flat Earth documentary or such that had controversy years back as a bunch of people in it didn't know until afterwards that the stuff they said was going to be placed in that context and they were suing the production afterwards. Although you wonder just how they didn't notice given some of the lines they read so it sounded like an excuse or they really were that dumb and just say any lines that they're paid to read.
