I've been trying to figure out how to educate him since September. I'm autistic and don't communicate very well, and he is very bull headed. I'll probably figure out how to gently red-pill him soon though.
I find most autistic people I have interacted with do communicate well. They are very blunt and to the point. The whole world would benefit from such honesty.
Thanks but being to direct and literal minded has problems. I have hurt the fellings of friends very badly in the past because of my word usage in conversation. My writing is better but can be impenetrably dense :(
God bless you and God bless your honesty. Understanding and intent should always be looked at when receiving a message. Those who get their feelings hurt should look at the intent. Much like I tell my son when he gets yelled at by his over bearing wrestling coach; listen to what is in the message and not how it's delivered. You are probably harder on yourself than what others are on you. My wife's aunt worked for MMRD and her son is autistic as well. I have been fortunate to be around many all over the spectrum. I feel it has made me a better person and have a better understanding of all people. I enjoy and find the honesty refreshing.
You need to tell him, the more people that know and understand the better for society.
