The accepted circumference of earth is 40,075 km at the equator, if you convert that to miles it gives you 24,901.45 miles I have no idea where you got your numbers from.

Earth.. 365° round.. chart distance convergence "1° of latitude = 60 Nautical miles...". Shit... I crashed a satilite...looked it up.. seems a Nautical is not a kilometer. Can we all agree screw the metric system...
