The question is can we take back our land from the Chinese? Some states ban this already.Should there be nationawide conrols over foreign land ownership?

Don't see why not. In many, probably even most, countries throughout the world it is prohibited for non citizens to own land. The Americas and Europe are actually unique in this perspective by allowing it.
If you can, it's in small amounts and use is limited - have been looking at retiring outside the U.S. and it's amazing how strict the requirements are compared to here, where you need a pulse and not much else.
